Many young campers and their parents have concerns about the pool.
We understand...we take procedure at the pool very seriously and camper safety is our priority!
If you have any questions please ask and know that parents are always welcome to visit the pool at any time!
Pool guidelines and information....
1) When we arrive at the pool campers line up by team, lay out their gear, and pair up with at least one other buddy. Campers must be with a buddy at all times, including their time out of the pool.
2) All campers take a swim test which consists of a 25 meter swim.
3) Campers get a color-coded wristband based on whether they passed the swim test or not. These wristbands allow us to immediately identify our campers & where they are permitted to be swimming.
4) For campers who do not pass the test (or who choose not to take the test) there are several areas in which to swim including a 2' pool, a 3' pool, a 6' slide, as well as the playground/concession area.
5) The pool is fully staffed with lifeguards, and the coaching staff keeps a close eye on all swimming areas.
6) Once per hour, students must exit the pool area, line up with their teams, and check in for attendance. No one is permitted to leave base camp until all campers and staff are checked in.
